You will undergo an initial comprehensive lab panel.  Follow-up labs will be performed 3 months after you start your injections, and a follow-up appointment will be scheduled to go over your labs and make any adjustment as needed. Subsequently, you will usually need follow-up labs every 6 months.

Testosterone therapy is typically administered on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule using a subcutaneous technique. Treatments can be performed in-office, or patients may be taught how to self-administer at home. The most commonly used formulation is testosterone cypionate.

Testosterone pellet therapy involves the placement of small pellets that release hormone over approximately six months, reducing the need for frequent treatments or office visits. Pellets are bioidentical, meaning they match the hormone naturally produced by the body, and are absorbed directly into the bloodstream over time.
