Jeff Womble, FNP-C
I was born and raised right here in Abilene and graduated from Wylie High School in 2002. After receiving a degree in Biology from ACU, I went to nursing school at Patty Hanks Shelton and obtained my RN license in 2009. From there, I moved to Dallas and worked for the Baylor Scott and White healthcare system, in the Emergency Department at Baylor Garland and the non-invasive cardiology department at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano. Somehow, I convinced my nursing school study partner, Amber, into marrying me in 2012, and we stayed in the metroplex until 2016 when our first son was born.
We moved back to Abilene and I worked for a couple of years in the Emergency Department at Abilene Regional Medical Center while I completed my master’s degree program through Walden University. I became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018 and practiced family medicine at Abilene Family Practice until September 2021. During this time, we added another little redhead to our family in 2019.
In my free time, you can find me camping, playing in the backyard with my wife and two boys, throwing a frisbee anywhere (or with anyone) I can find, on the golf course, or spending time with friends and family in the Hill Country.
Working with Dr. McCain has been an amazing experience, and it has been rewarding to see incredible transformation in people’s lives. I truly believe that we can tailor a personalized plan to help achieve real, lasting results through multiple proven treatments and protocols that we utilize.
