Our Story
True Vertex Men’s Wellness Clinic was designed and developed by Stefanie McCain, MD. She has been treating both women and men’s sexual health at her south Abilene practice since 1997. Seeing a need for treating men in a practice that is tailored specifically to male patients in a comfortable and appropriate environment, she put into motion the plans to open True Vertex Men’s Wellness Clinic.

Our Mission
My mission for TrueVertex arose from my passion and success initially with optimizing hormone therapy in women. Subsequently their partners sought treatment as well when they witnessed and experienced the many positive changes they saw in their partners. I then began optimizing testosterone in men and quickly observed and realized the significant positive impact it had on their general well-being, their quality of life, improved performance in stressful jobs, remarkable improvements in their personal relationships just to name a few. It very quickly became apparent also, that erectile health was an issue and important for most of the male patients that I treated. Out of that need, I developed treatment strategies and algorithms to effectively diagnose, treat and improve erectile health and function such as the addition of GAINSWAVE Shock WaveTherapy and the P-Shot. I also wanted to provide an effective, affordable weight loss program, as many patients struggle to lose weight and maintain their weight loss. Being overweight is one of the primary factors affecting one’s overall health, well-being and longevity. I implemented the revolutionary Semaglutide/B-12 Weight Loss Program and have seen incredible results. My goal at TrueVertex is to provide a comfortable and discreet environment to allow us to customize a treatment plan to address the specific issues you have so that you can be the best version of you and “feel good again”. MD, FACOG AND FOUNDER
Dr. McCain is a Board-Certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 30 years of experience in this field, with 24 of those years practicing in Abilene. She opened her private practice in 1997 after serving 12 years as a staff obstetrician and gynecologist in the United States Air Force.
